Who we are
Rewear Group Ltd (trading as Second Hand Clothes), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15495303, registered office 31 Hamilton Street, Newport, NP19 0GT, United Kingdom. Email: info@secondhandtextiles.co.uk. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
What we collect
- Order details – name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number, items ordered and order history.
- Account details – if you create an account: your login email and password (stored encrypted).
- Trade details – company name, if you provide it.
- Unfinished baskets – if you add items to your basket or start checkout without completing the order, we save the basket contents and any details you have entered (such as your email address) for up to 12 months, so we can understand and help with incomplete orders. You can choose not to have this saved at checkout.
- Messages – emails, quote requests and anything else you send us.
- Website usage – if you accept analytics cookies: pages visited, how you arrived at our site, approximate location (city/country), device and browser type, collected through Google Analytics.
- Technical data – IP address, browser and device information collected automatically by our website and payment providers for security and fraud prevention.
We do not see or store your full card details. All payments are processed by Stripe.
Why we use it and our legal basis
- To process, deliver and support your orders – performance of a contract.
- To keep accounting and tax records – legal obligation.
- To prevent fraud and keep our website secure – legitimate interests.
- To answer your questions and quote for bulk orders – legitimate interests or steps before entering into a contract.
- To send you offers and stock updates – only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To understand how our website is used and improve it (Google Analytics) – only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
- Our payment provider, Stripe (including Klarna when you choose to pay in instalments).
- Delivery companies, to deliver your order.
- Our website and email hosting provider (Hostinger).
- Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC), for website analytics – only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Our accountants, and authorities such as HMRC where required by law.
We never sell your personal information. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
Order and accounting records are kept for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to. Account details are kept until you close your account. Marketing consent records are kept until you unsubscribe.
Cookies
Our shop uses essential cookies to run the basket, checkout and your account. These are necessary for the website to work and do not need your consent.
With your consent, we also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_*, which are kept for up to 2 years. These cookies are only set if you click “Accept” in our cookie banner; if you click “Reject”, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal information, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy of it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email info@secondhandtextiles.co.uk. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we use your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
