Terms & Conditions

1. Who we are

This website, secondhandtextiles.co.uk, is operated by Rewear Group Ltd (trading as Second Hand Clothes), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15495303, registered office 31 Hamilton Street, Newport, NP19 0GT, United Kingdom. Email: info@secondhandtextiles.co.uk. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged on our prices.

2. These terms

These terms apply to every order placed on this website. Please read them before ordering. By placing an order you confirm that you accept them. Some sections apply differently to consumers (buying for personal use) and trade customers (buying for a business, including resale); where this is the case we say so.

3. Our products

We sell second-hand clothing, footwear, accessories and household textiles by the sack. Each sack is hand-sorted by category, season and grade, then weighed and labelled.

  • A Grade – clean, wearable items with no stains or holes, ready to wear or resell. Items are pre-owned and may show light signs of normal use.
  • B Grade – wearable items that may show more visible wear (fading, bobbling, small marks).

Contents of each sack are mixed. We cannot guarantee specific brands, sizes, colours or styles. Because sorting is done by hand, a small proportion of items (up to around 5% by weight) may fall below the stated grade; this is normal for graded second-hand clothing and is reflected in our prices.

Product images are illustrations and are not photographs of the actual sack you will receive.

4. Weight ranges

Sacks are sold by weight range (for example 15–18 kg). You will receive one sack whose weight falls within the range you choose. The exact weight is printed on the sack label. The price is calculated on the middle of the range, so some sacks are slightly heavier and some slightly lighter than the price basis.

5. Prices and payment

All prices are in pounds sterling (£). Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. We accept payment by debit or credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna, processed securely by Stripe. Orders of 250 kg or more are quoted individually, invoiced on the exact weight packed and paid by bank transfer before dispatch.

If we make an obvious pricing error, we will contact you and you may either confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.

6. Your order and our contract

After you place an order you will receive an email confirming that we have received it. The contract between us is formed when we dispatch your order. We may decline an order, for example if stock is no longer available; in that case you will be refunded in full.

7. Delivery

We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only, excluding the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly and the Channel Islands. Orders may also be collected free of charge from our Newport warehouse. Delivery times and charges are set out on our Delivery page. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery; ownership passes once we have received full payment.

8. Your right to cancel (consumers only)

If you are a consumer, you may cancel your order within 14 days of the day you receive it, without giving a reason. Our Returns & Refunds page explains how. This right does not apply to trade customers.

9. Faulty or incorrectly described goods

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if goods are not as described, not of satisfactory quality or not fit for purpose. Nothing in these terms affects those rights. Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and photographs.

If you are a trade customer, you must tell us of any problem within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the sack, its label and the items concerned. If we agree the goods are not as described, we will offer a replacement, a partial refund or a full refund on return of the sack.

10. Trade customers

If you buy for business purposes, the following also applies: second-hand goods are sold according to their grade description; we are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business or indirect loss; and our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order.

11. Our liability to consumers

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. We are not liable for business losses.

12. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. If such an event affects your order, we will contact you and you may cancel for a refund of anything you have paid for goods not received.

13. Personal data

We use your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Complaints and law

If you have a complaint, please email us first and we will try to resolve it quickly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts.

15. Trademarks

Vinted, eBay, Depop, Whatnot and TILT are trademarks of their respective owners. Their names and logos are used on this website only to describe the marketplaces our customers sell on. Second Hand Clothes is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
